Aku Venhola

I am doing research on galaxy evolution and I am specialized in dwarf galaxies. In my research, I search for faint galaxies in the modern astronomical surveys and aim to understand their evolution and interactions in different galactic environments.

I am currently working in the space physics and astronomy research unit in University of Oulu. I am working in the Euclid-project as a responsible for the integration of the ground-based observations of the Northern sky and also in the Local universe – science working group. I work as a university lecturer in University of Oulu and I teach basic physics courses and intermediate and advanced courses in astronomy in University of Oulu.
