Mene ja tiedä is an online science journal aimed at young people and published by Young Academy Finland. The publication aims to make scientific knowledge accessible for young people and to shed light on research processes and the practices of scientific publishing.
The monthly publication was founded in October 2024 to support our Meet a Researcher service but it is openly accessible for anyone. The journal publishes condensed, popularized versions of peer-reviewed articles by researchers who are part of the Meet a Researcher service’s pool. The publication also features articles discussing the basics of science and being a researcher. The journal is mainly in Finnish, however, at least one article is published in Swedish every month. All articles are published also as audio articles. Finland’s Ministry of Education and Culture financially supports the publication.
