My teaching and scholarship focus on the historical trajectory of American and Nordic jurisprudential and constitutional thought, including the evolution of legal thought during the nineteenth and twentieth centuries, the transformation of American Constitution as well as its international influence, and the history, present, and future of the state monopoly of violence. I am currently a practicing attorney and Professor of Practice in Competition Law and Legal Advocacy at the University of Eastern Finland.
