Minna Karjalainen

I work as a postdoctoral researcher in the Computational Medicine Research Team, University of Oulu. My main field of interest is human genetics. I have been involved in studying the genetic background of preterm birth and lung diseases affecting small children for several years. Currently, my research focuses on studying cardiometabolic health and disease by combining multiple large-scale biological data.

I did my Master’s degree at the Department of Biology. After that, I have worked at the Faculty of Medicine with main focus on the genetic background of human diseases.
