Today, 24th of January 2024, the Stockholm Charter for Academic Freedom was launched. The charter was initiated by the Young Academy of Sweden, but many European young academies have participated in drafting the charter e.g. in the meeting of European National Academies (ENYA) on May 2023, in Stockholm.
This important document serves as a reminder and a guide for protecting the rights of academics and researchers worldwide. It is a step towards ensuring that academic freedom remains respected and maintained. The charter can be seen and joined in the address www.academicfreedom.eu.
